Question by Tiffany: What is this mold on my bermuda grass???
There are shoots of grass topped with mold coming out of our bermuda grass. Anyone know what this is, how it got here, and how to get rid of it. The kids and dog get covered in it when they are out playing. Help!!

the mold is in “ka-hoots” with nearby oaks that do not care for your bermuda grass.
bermuda grass sucks for more reasons that I care to write about
replace it with white clover. it is just as durable, the oaks will actually benefit from it, it requires about 1/100th of the water that bermuda does, it can be mowed just like grass and it will also contribute to the health of all other surrounding plants

If it is a MUSHROOM & not a fungus, There is nothing you can do to prevent mushrooms but to pick the mushroom or just kick it over.

I can’t find it on any of the mushroom sites & would like to know the biological name so I know what I’m dealing with. I’ve seen a lot of mushrooms but nothing like this. It grows directly in the ground about level with the grass and has a thick root with a red-yellowish ooze with a strong odor. It’s very alien-looking.

Question by Lacey C: Why is there fungus/moss on my front lawn (PICTURES INCLUDED)?
Hi there. I am very curious as to why my lawn isn’t lookng so good. IN certain areas i notice that a fungus/moss seems to be growing. From what i have been told moss (if it is this) seems to occur in very shaded areas but my front lawn is very heavily sunned all day long (no shading).
Please have a look at the pictures at this location:

Found grass fungus treatment in What Treatment For Toenail Fungus?

Question by Rockin Robin: What Treatment For Toenail Fungus?
I’ve been walking anywhere from 7 – 10 miles 7 days a week for three months now. My toes had started to hurt. Never being an athlete, I had no idea about painful feet. Til now. Now I look closer and two toenails are discolored and the skin under one is red and swollen. So now I know I’ve got a serious problem, and it’s Saturday, Dr’s are off, and I would like to cure this myself.
Please advise the best method of treatment to cure this fast! I don’t want to stop walking. I’m doing so good on my walking program! I’ve lost 15 pounds and about 10 inches! In three months.
I had been walking on some damp grass a few times as it had rained. I walk on uneven terrain, which I felt was better than the cement. But I think my shoes got wet and then the heat and humidity combined is probably laid the ground for a serious infection under my toenails.
I need advice and fast! Many thanks in advance.
Robin

It may not be a fungus. It may be an infection from all the pounding or athletes foot. Toe nail fungus is not painful just looks bad. Keep your feet dry by putting baby powder with cornstarch in your socks, changing your socks more ofter. You may also have a toenail infected from all the walking. This is very common.
